(Continued)
Following dissection to the level of the vagina on the right side, I
return to
the left side and cut the vagina to separate the cervix from the vagina.
I then
grasp and pull the cervix and corpus into the vagina.
I maintain the corpus in the vagina in order to accomplish the next
step.
I suture the vagina and close the pelvic peritoneum over it.
I use a special device to close the trocar site near the belly button.
